Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibilities will include welcoming guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of service in our restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and service staff to ensure timely service.
- Maintain an organized waiting list during busy periods and provide accurate wait times to guests.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, assisting with inquiries and reservations.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment within the dining area.
- Provide support to servers and other staff as needed to enhance guest relations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or guest services is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar restaurant management systems is a plus.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- A team player who can help foster a collaborative work atmosphere.
- Prior experience in hotel or restaurant settings is advantageous but not required.
