Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow.
- Provide guests with menus and inform them about daily specials or promotions.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized front-of-house area, including the host stand and waiting area.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, or complaints with professionalism and courtesy.
- Utilize POS system for managing reservations and guest information as needed.
- Support the restaurant team in various tasks to enhance overall guest services.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette and guest relations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- A genuine passion for helping others and providing outstanding customer service.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations is a plus, but not required; training will be provided.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
