We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding customer service in the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and with a friendly demeanor as they arrive at the restaurant.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements effectively using Aloha POS or similar systems.
- Maintain an organized waitlist during busy periods, ensuring guests are informed of wait times.
- Communicate with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate guest seating and special requests.
- Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to guests.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization at the host stand and dining area.
- Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing accurate information regarding reservations and services.
- Assist in maintaining a positive atmosphere within the restaurant by fostering guest relations.
- Oversee server shift reviews and closing paperwork, and run the close-of-day report.
- Oversee that the restaurant is left clean and organized by the servers.
- Oversee the server closing duties.
- Lock all the doors and set the alarm.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
