Responsibilities
- Greet guests, escort them to their tables, present menus, and make course recommendations upon request.
- Ensure tables, silverware and glasses are clean and properly set up.
- Take and schedule reservations by phone and in person.
- Ensure guests receive prompt courteous service and respond to complaints and comments or refer the responses to the Restaurant Manager.
- Supervise service to assist servers when needed.
- Complete the guest satisfaction cycle by thanking guests and inviting them to return with a fond farewell.
- Ensure no section of the dining room is overlooked.
- Check with the guest if everything is satisfactory.
- Refill water for guests at tables.
- Care for decoration of the dining room for special events if needed.
- Perform any assignments as directed by the Restaurant Manager.
Qualifications, Skills & Educational Requirements
This position requires a pleasant personality and neat appearance, along with excellent people and verbal skills. Prior experience in the industry is preferred.
