We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and exceptional guest experience from the moment they arrive. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to manage reservations efficiently.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize restaurant flow.
- Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times to guests effectively.
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions.
- Assist with guest inquiries and ensure their needs are met throughout their visit.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization at the host stand and dining area.
Requirements
- Previous experience in guest services or food service is preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
- Familiarity with Shift4 POS or similar restaurant management systems is a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and a passion for hospitality are essential for success in this role.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
