Job Summary:
The Host/Busser/Runner is a dynamic and essential member of the front-of-house team, responsible for ensuring smooth guest experiences from arrival to departure. This hybrid role combines the duties of greeting and seating guests, supporting servers with clearing and resetting tables, and delivering food in a timely and professional manner. This position requires strong multitasking, communication, and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Host Duties:
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and thank them as they leave.
- Manage reservations and waitlists using the host stand system.
- Assign tables based on server rotation and guest preferences.
- Answer phone calls and provide accurate information about the restaurant.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the entrance and waiting areas.
Busser Duties:
- Clear, clean, and reset tables promptly and efficiently.
- Assist with stocking server stations (napkins, silverware, glassware, etc.).
- Support servers in maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
- Remove trash and dirty linens, keeping the dining room and service areas tidy.
Runner Duties:
- Deliver food or beverages to tables in a timely, professional manner.
- Explain dishes to guests if needed and ensure proper presentation.
- Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and restocking work area.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 32 per week
