Job Overview
We are closed Sunday and Monday and all major holidays, no late nights. We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to manage reservations and seating efficiently. Your position also includes helping in the dining room, clearing plates, checking tables if busy.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with a friendly introduction to our restaurant.
- Manage the reservation system and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about menu items, specials, and reservations.
- Assist guests with any inquiries or requests, ensuring their needs are met promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain cleanliness and organization in the front-of-house area.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in food service or hospitality settings such as hotels or restaurants.
- Strong phone etiquette with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on providing outstanding guest services.
- Attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
