Job Summary:
As a Lobby & Laundry Attendant, you are a key part of the housekeeping team, responsible for maintaining clean, welcoming public areas and ensuring fresh, high-quality linens are available throughout the hotel. This dual-role position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a proactive, guest-friendly attitude. Whether greeting guests in the lobby or preparing linens in the laundry area, your work helps create a comfortable, safe, and polished environment for everyone who enters the property.
Key Responsibilities:Lobby Attendant Duties:
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the hotel lobby, entrances, hallways, elevators, and other public spaces.
- Clean and sanitize public restrooms and restock supplies as needed.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors and furnishings in public areas.
- Clean glass doors, windows, fixtures, and elevators to maintain a spotless appearance.
- Remove trash, used glassware, or newspapers from the lobby and surrounding areas.
- Place safety signage or rugs as needed to prevent slips and falls.
- Greet guests warmly and assist with questions or directions when appropriate.
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the supervisor.
Laundry Attendant Duties:
- Sort, pre-treat, wash, dry, fold, and press hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items.
- Deliver clean linens to housekeeping storage areas and guest floors as directed.
- Monitor laundry machines for proper function and report malfunctions.
- Keep laundry supplies and carts organized and well-stocked.
- Ensure laundry room is clean, safe, and compliant with hotel standards.
- Respond promptly and professionally to staff and guest laundry-related requests.
- Assist with linen inventory tracking and reporting.
Qualifications & Traits for Success:
- Basic knowledge of cleaning and laundry principles (training provided).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and order.
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs, push/pull carts up to 100 lbs, and stand, bend, or stoop for long periods.
- Friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor with strong communication skills.
- Dependability and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.
- Safety-conscious with an understanding of how to use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly.
