About Corazon Ministries: Founded in 1999, Corazon San Antonio operates in the heart of downtown San Antonio serving our homeless and marginalized neighbors by providing a day center and resource hub, health clinic, harm reduction outreach, housing case management, hot meals, clothing, warm showers, hygiene items, access to recovery groups and spiritual services. We serve over 65,000 hot, nutritious meals per year and rely on enthusiastic volunteers and our staff, many with lived experience, to provide unconditional love and life-giving support to our neighbors.

Sunday-Thursday
Monday-Friday
Sunday 7am-1pm
Monday-Friday 1pm-7pm
Monday-Thursday 10am-4pm
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will be responsible for housekeeping and maintenance for all campuses of Corazon Ministries in coordination with landlords and CMI Team.
Housekeeping/Maintenance Coordinator
- Clean and sanitize all work areas daily, including the Day Center and Harm Reduction Drop-In Center at Grace Lutheran Church, as well as other campuses as needed.
- Vacuums and sweeps floors, carpets, and rugs daily
- Mop all community spaces daily to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Support team with laundry needs as necessary.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and countertops, at all operational and office locations a minimum of three times per day.
- Restock toiletries, towels, and other essential supplies in designated areas regularly.
- Empty trash receptacles as needed throughout the day to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
- Wipe down and sanitize all tables and chairs used by clients daily.
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces multiple times a day, including door handles, countertops, and windows.
- Provide general maintenance support at all campuses, as directed.
- Maintain outdoor courtyard areas by sweeping, hosing down, and removing food, trash, and other debris daily.
- Wipes and cleans all tables and chairs used by clients daily
- Wipes and cleans all high utilized surfaces several times daily (including door handles, counter tops, windows, etc)
- Provides maintenance support to all campuses as needed
- Coordinates vendors for maintenance as need and requested by CMI leadership and partners at locations we are housed at
- Provides thorough in-depth cleaning for all areas a minimum of monthly / quarterly based on calendar to be provided by CMI leadership
- Ensure the exterior of all buildings remains clean and free of trash or debris multiple times per day.
- Coordinates recycling program for all sites as needed / requested by CMI leadership and partners
- Keeps breakrooms, meeting rooms and common areas clean and ready for use by CMI staff or partners
- Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
- Notify superiors on any damages, deficits, and disturbances
- Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
- Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices
- Maintains inventory and works with leadership to purchase additional items in timely manner
- Other duties as assigned by President / CEO or CMI leadership
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid driver's license and insured vehicle
- Must be available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required
- Orientation to detail, accuracy, and meeting deadlines.
- Proven experience as a cleaner or housekeeper
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery used in cleaning
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
- High school degree or equivalent preferred
- Commitment to food safety, people safety and a clean and safe environment for all.
- At least three years’ experience working as housekeeper / maintenance preferred
- Ability to work cooperatively under pressure with a broad range of people.
- Absolute integrity, honesty, and ability to maintain confidentiality when required. Background checks will be required for this position. Certain backgrounds will not be excluded.
- Ability to manage time effectively and to work independently.
- Ability to be polite, firm and decisive.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions on complex matters.
- Ability to communicate tactfully with other staff members and the public.

Work Environment
This job is performed in an indoor and outdoor office environment. You may be required to drive to different locations with varying conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
