Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Manager to oversee the housekeeping department in our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for maintaining high cleanliness standards. This role is essential in ensuring that our guests enjoy a comfortable and pristine environment during their stay. The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for managing the housekeeping team, implementing cleaning protocols, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness and orderliness throughout the facility.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules, ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels while adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Collaborate with other departments to address guest requests or concerns related to housekeeping services.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices in industrial cleaning and floor care.
Experience
- Previous experience in housekeeping management within the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hotel cleaning standards, custodial practices, and floor care techniques.
- Proven ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high morale among staff members.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of housekeeping operations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
