Magic Springs Theme and Water Park — Arkansas’s only theme and water park combo — is seeking a dedicated Human Resources Manager to lead our HR operations and support a thriving, seasonal workforce. Position Summary:

The Human Resources Manager oversees all aspects of the Magic Springs Human Resources Department, including team member recruitment, compliance, employee relations, training, and culture-building initiatives. This leader ensures that our HR programs support park operations and align with strategic goals, all while maintaining a fun, safe, and professional environment for every team member.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Staffing

  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training of seasonal and year-round staff
  • Prepare and submit bi-weekly payroll for seasonal and full-time staff
  • Coordinate interview scheduling and candidate outreach for all departments
  • Develop strategies for job fairs, campus recruiting, and digital hiring campaigns
  • Oversee recruitment-related social media and job board postings
  • Maintain applicant tracking and HRIS system data
  • Prepare weekly staffing reports and hiring metrics

Training & Development

  • Plan and deliver new hire orientation and department-specific trainings
  • Provide ongoing leadership and compliance training to supervisors
  • Lead Interviewer and Recruiter training sessions across departments

Employee Relations & Retention

  • Respond to team member concerns and conduct internal investigations as needed
  • Guide managers on performance conversations and workplace conflict resolution
  • Coordinate recognition events, team celebrations, and morale-boosting activities
  • Oversee the ticket trade/barter incentive program

Compliance & Administration

  • Ensure compliance with employment law, wage & hour standards, and company policy
  • Manage responses to unemployment claims and attend hearings when needed
  • Maintain accurate team member records and documentation
  • Oversee uniform inventory and distribution
  • Monitor and manage the HR department budget

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Supervise seasonal HR team members and manage department scheduling
  • Build strong relationships with department managers and executive leadership
  • Represent HR in strategic meetings to ensure alignment with park-wide goals
  • Lead health, safety, and wellness initiatives across the park

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of HR experience; at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Goal-oriented with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information and resolve issues with discretion
  • Proficient with HR software systems (Paycor or similar a plus)
  • Flexible schedule, including availability on nights, weekends, and holidays during peak season

  • Requires occasional carrying of up to 100 pounds using a two-wheel hand truck or similar assistive device
