Job Overview:
The Human Resources (HR) Manager reports to the Executive Director. The primary responsibility is to strengthen the company's human resource department by planning, implementing, and assessing employee relations and HR policies, programs, and practices. The position will maintain the organizational structure by updating job requirements and descriptions for all positions. The Human Resource Manager will oversee and guide the day-to-day operations of the HR department, including recruiting and interviewing employees, managing compensation, benefits, and ensuring compliance with company policies and practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Collect and report program outcomes data and employee satisfaction surveys.
· Conduct monthly departmental meetings
· Participate in departmental audits.
· Setting up, changing, or removing access through TCA.
· Serve as the Safety Accessibility Risk (SAR) chair for the company, responsible for maintaining and facilitating the safety committee meetings, audits and required reporting.
· Perform day-to-day administrative tasks to maintain accurate and confidential records of employees' personal information, employment history, and any disciplinary actions, including updating databases, managing employee records, and handling HR documents (e.g., employment records and onboarding guides).
· Responsible for exit interviews and exit checklist for each exiting employee.
· Conduct employee investigations for compliance, develop a timeline, and determine a course of action.
· Ensure compliance with employment laws and recommend best practices, review policies regularly.
· Administer employee benefits programs, including health, retirement, and leave options.
· Manage the substance testing and annual background checks.
· Manage the training programs, including any required trainings.
· Communicate updates to employees monthly or as needed. Including the employee contact list.
· Maintain strict confidentiality of company and employee information.
· Responsible for all employee files.
· Responsible for workman’s compensation
· Responsible for facilitating any unemployment claims and- or hearings.
· Review and Update job descriptions and employee handbooks.
· Facilitate and-or participate in all employees’ termination meetings to ensure quality standards throughout the company.
· Lead, Supervise and evaluate departmental employees.
· Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· Education: High School Diploma.
· Experience:
· 10 years’ experience working in HR and supervising others.
· Physical Requirements:
· The HR Manager will typically work in an office setting and will access the community many times throughout the week. Frequent sitting, standing, talking, and active listening. Occasional bending, twisting, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, crawling, reaching, walking, driving, traveling, kneeling and crouching.
