Lead People Operations Where It Matters Most
Capitol Aggregates is seeking an experienced, people-first HR Manager to support our cement plant workforce and partner closely with our HR Director. What You’ll Do
Partner with Leadership: Collaborate closely with the HR Director to implement HR strategies that support plant performance, safety, and engagement.
Drive Recruitment: Oversee end-to-end hiring processes, from application reviews and pre-screen interviews to presenting qualified candidates to plant leadership.
Own Data Integrity: Ensure the requisition tracking log, applicant tracking system (ATS), and DocuSign records are current and compliant for all Cement Plant positions.
Lead Onboarding: Manage the onboarding process from pre-employment through orientation. Ensure all documentation is complete and new hires feel supported from day one.
Support Employees: Serve as the primary HR contact for plant employees, providing guidance on benefits, policies, and workplace concerns.
Champion Engagement: Conduct stay and exit interviews.
Ensure Compliance: Maintain up-to-date HR records and uphold legal, safety, and company policy standards in a fast-paced industrial setting.
Get Onsite: While the role is primarily office-based, you’ll occasionally head outdoors to the plant to engage directly with employees and leadership.
What You’ll Bring
High school diploma or GED required; degree in HR or Business Administration preferred
3–5 years of progressive HR experience
Experience supporting field, construction, or manufacturing teams strongly preferred
Proficiency in HR systems (HRIS, ATS, DocuSign) and Microsoft Office
Bilingual in Spanish/English highly preferred
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering excellent employee service
