HRIS Support- Temporary
The Human Resources HRIS team is looking for an HRIS Support - Temporary to join the team.
This is a part time hybrid (in-person and remote required) position and is for a limited time, ending no later than the end of September 2025.
Job Summary
Reviews paper & electronic forms for accuracy to ensure VCU, State and Federal policies are being followed and processes information into the VCU and State systems (ImageNow, Banner, Cardinal) within established deadlines.
Uses functional and technical knowledge to provide department HR Professionals (HRP) and HR Associates (HRA) with general guidance and informal training as needed.
Work closely with other HRIS Operations Analysts, Payroll, central HR, and HRA/HRP to ensure excellent customer service and timely processing of all transactions.
Provide support, as needed, for the timely resolution of problems and/or sensitive issues related to HR actions.

Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service in a professional manner, communicating clearly and confidently, both orally and in writing, with employees at various levels and diverse backgrounds within the organization.
- Ability to exercise judgment, take initiative, prioritize work, meet non-negotiable time frames, and pay attention to detail in a time-sensitive, high volume work environment.
- Experience and ability to work in an open office and team environment.
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.
Other duties as assigned. -
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using HR Information Systems
- Experience in higher education and/or state agencies
Experience processing payroll deadline driven personnel actions in HR systems.
