Duties and Responsibilities
Human Resources Associates provide a variety of essential services, including facilitating communication across campus, offering procedural guidance, and assisting with problem resolution. The role includes analyzing situations and conducting thorough research to achieve effective resolutions while maintaining confidentiality throughout the process.
Onboarding New Employees:
Onboarding New Employees:
- Ensure a smooth and welcoming new hire orientation by preparing all event materials and providing on-site logistical support..
- Handle the administrative tasks of onboarding, guiding new hires through required paperwork to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
Employee Records Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with university policies and federal regulations related to hiring, position changes, departures, and other personnel actions.
- Process and manage employee data efficiently and securely within established systems.
Relations and Support:
- Respond to frequently asked questions from employees and departments regarding standard HR policies and federal procedures.
- Provide accurate and timely information while directing complex inquiries to the appropriate HR personnel.
Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
1. Administrative Experience: Experience working in an administrative support role in a professional office setting.
2. Communication Skills: Skilled in interpreting and explaining complex information or procedures through both written and verbal communication.
3. Software Proficiency: Proficiency in standard office computer systems and software, such as the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
4. Data Entry: Performed high-volume data entry with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

1. Proven ability to deliver training and presentations effectively to small and large audiences.
2. Demonstrated skill in gathering and analyzing information to assess complex human resources issues.
3. Knowledge of human resources policies and procedures.
4. Experience working with multi-relational databases.
5. Combination of education and/or applicable experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience in Human Resources.
