Overview
Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an ID&C Engineering Technicial Specialist supporting TOS II, at Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) at Arnold AFB, TN. The ID&C Engineering Technical Specialist will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for operating and maintaining the United States Air Force Test Operations efforts at AEDC.
This position requires occasional scheduled extended hours and/or weekend work to meet critical contractual requirements and rare unscheduled night or weekend support in emergency situations.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will function as an ID&C TMDE Technical specialist for the development and maintenance of documentation required to ensure that Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) meets DoD contractual requirements and is in a state of readiness for Air Force audit. This position will primarily be responsible for providing the technical expertise to ensure that AEDC Test Operation and Sustainment (TOS) Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements are being met, and the contract complies with DoD and Air Force Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) requirements.
Job Duties:
This position will serve as a TOS contractor point-of-contact responsible for development and maintenance of TMDE documentation associated with test and diagnostic data. This position will require extensive coordination with the organizations responsible for the application of TMDE in the execution of TOS contract scope across the AEDC.
- Provide technical expertise regarding systems and processes associated with the application of TMDE across the AEDC enterprise including compliance with DoD and Air Force TMDE requirements defined in the TOS Performance Work Statement (PWS)
- Interpret and implement TOS contractual requirements for TMDE management as written in the TOS PWS and related documents including AF Technical Order 00-20-14, 33K-1-100-1, WEBAFCAV, and DAFMAN 21-113
- Serve as a TOS contractor point-of-contact responsible for development and maintenance of TMDE documentation associated with test and diagnostic data
- Review TMDE documentation to ensure compliance with DoD requirements and readiness for Air Force audit
- Provide calibration determination guidance for new TMDE item purchases
- Provide guidance to technical design/development teams to ensure commonality of TMDE related components as well as standard processes for development, deployment, calibration and maintenance of TMDE components procured and/or developed in capital project design/implementation efforts
- Support the TMDE documentation and compliance activities associated with the design review process for select projects and designs implementing or modifying TMDE systems and components.
- It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy

Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Any equivalent combination of relevant vocational or other relevant education and/or training and specialized progressive experience for a minimum total of eleven (11) years; or Bachelor’s degree and seven (7) years of relevant or specialized progressive experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in the TMDE field
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network.
- Current U. S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active DoD secret or higher-level security clearance
- Demonstrated technical expertise in a DoD Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL), preferably an Air Force PMEL
- Demonstrated experience in the interpretation and practical application of AFTO 00-20-14, Air Force Metrology and Calibration Program
- Demonstrated technical expertise in the application of metrology concepts in an aerospace test operation environment
- Demonstrated written and oral communication and group presentation skills.
