We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Healthcare Data Specialist to join our team either in office or remote. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, with a keen eye for accuracy and the ability to work independently. The Healthcare Data Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate recording and analysis of healthcare data, contributing to the overall success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze healthcare data from various sources, such as electronic health records, patient forms, and billing systems
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of data, identifying and resolving any discrepancies
- Develop and maintain databases and data systems for efficient and organized data storage and retrieval
- Interpret and present data in clear and concise reports, charts, and graphs to assist in decision making
- Collaborate with various departments to identify data needs and provide support in data analysis for quality improvement initiatives
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations related to data privacy, security, and reporting
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare data management role
- Strong proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, with advanced Excel skills
- Familiarity with database management and reporting tools (e.g. SQL, Tableau)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and data security protocols
