We are seeking an Inside Sales Representative.

The Opportunity: HBio is seeking an Inside Sales Representative located in Boston, MA or Minneapolis, MN. The purpose of this position is to extend HBio's position as a preferred life sciences partner in academic institutions and government laboratories. This position will have a supporting role with our demand generation team while acting as an extension of the field-based sales team. Compensation for this position will include salary, bonuses, full benefits and all necessary office equipment and communication tools.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the outside Systems Sales team to ensure growth through the achievement of sales targets and objectives. Brands include BTX, Warner, HEKA, MCS, QuikPrep, and Biochrom Amino Acid Analyzers
  • Acquire and maintain a high proficiency in understanding and relaying the HBIO product and service portfolio.
  • Qualify incoming sales leads and refer to corresponding outside Account Executives
  • Engaging customers, assisting and advising them of HBIO products and the correct solution to meet their application requirements.
  • Maintain market and competitor awareness, developing and presenting ideas for new opportunities.
  • Business segment and application specific prospecting to develop leads and refer to the appropriate Technical Sales Representative.
  • Establish and maintain effective contact with the potential and existing customer base through campaign marketing and cold calling.
  • Conduct scheduled check-ins with users to evaluate service and promote workshops, training activities, new features and products.
  • Update and maintain accurate records in the customer relationship management system.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other members of the HBio sales team.
  • High degree of teamwork/collaboration with Account Executives specifically related to prospecting
  • Other related tasks as required.


Qualifications

  • History of sales or customer service experience.
  • Good telephone etiquette, attendance and organization skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Strong Computer Skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Social Media, Web search).
  • Good Oral & Written skills.
  • The ability to develop a good understanding of the HBIO product range and application areas.
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a group
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills such as time management and prioritizing.
  • A flexible approach and the ability to influence others.
  • The drive and commitment to achieve personal and company goals.

Education and Experience or equivalent:

  • 4 Year Degree is preferred
  • Previous outbound telephone sales helpful
  • Laboratory research or familiarity with electronics and scientific/biomedical laboratory equipment.
