Who are we looking for?
Our Phoenix, AR office is looking for a Inspector Intern to join the Construction Phase Services team. In this role you will perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites. May operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble, debris and other waste materials. May assist other craft workers.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:- Equipment Installation: Carry out simple installation tasks, following detailed instructions and working under close supervision to complete the allocated tasks.
- Equipment Maintenance and Repair : Carry out simple maintenance and repair tasks, following detailed instructions and working under close supervision to complete the allocated tasks.
- Operations Management: Carry out operational tasks by following established processes. This will involve adjusting multiple settings or parameters to meet performance standards.
- Quality Assurance: Perform relatively simple quality sampling and inspection of products or processes (or both).
- Work Scheduling and Allocation: Organize own work schedule each day in line with changing priorities.
- Health, Safety, and Environment: Follow a range of mandatory work instructions (including use of personal protection equipment where relevant) to safeguard the environment and the well-being of self and others.
- Internal Communications: Create positive experiences for clients by interacting courteously with them.
- Personal Capability Building: Develop and maintain excellent procedural or technical skills by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.
- Operating Machine or Equipment: Operate semi-complex equipment and machines, prioritizing routine tasks to improve efficiency and adjusting multiple related variables to resolve production problems.
- Operational Compliance: Follow a range of mandatory procedures to ensure that work is carried out to the required quality standards and/or to ensure adherence to external regulatory codes and internal codes of conduct.
What you will bring to the Team
Education- Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s in science or construction related.
- General Experience: No experience required.
