Your Responsibilities as an Insurance Coordinator:
- Enter medical & dental insurance data accurately into our EMR before new-patient consults
- Obtain and document detailed benefit breakdowns and coverage estimates to support our Treatment Coordinators
- Clearly communicate insurance benefits, orthodontic coverage, and estimated out-of-pocket costs
- Liaise with carriers to verify benefits, resolve claim issues, and complete pre-authorizations
- Maintain professionalism and clarity in all patient communications
- Balance multiple deadlines and tasks while upholding HIPAA standards and practice protocols
Requirements
- 1–2 years of insurance or front-office experience (dental/medical preferred)
- Accurate typing skills (40 wpm) and confidence using dental/medical software systems
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and relationship-building skills
- Familiarity with dental insurance protocols and ADA codes
- High school diploma (required); background check may be required
