Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Supervisor to lead our new 4-bed Intensive Residential Service Home in Ottumwa, IA. You will work closely with our Mental Health Coordinator and Director to ensure high-quality, person-centered care for adults with mental health, behavioral health, intellectual disabilities, or co-occurring conditions.
This short-term, intensive rehabilitation program helps clients stabilize and reintegrate into their communities through skill-building, medication and appointment compliance, crisis planning, and behavior modification.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on leadership and oversight of daily operations
- Conduct referral screenings, admissions, and client transitions
- Ensure services align with each client's individualized plan
- Coordinate care through weekly sessions, monthly team meetings, and ongoing communication
- Supervise and support staff, including scheduling, coaching, and performance reviews
- Onboard and train new employees, ensuring ongoing development and compliance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in mental and/or behavioral health services
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and database systems
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. without restrictions
- Valid driver's license, personal auto insurance, and reliable transportation
- Access to a telephone
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Completion of all required training and certifications within designated timeframes
