Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our inventory levels are maintained accurately and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in inventory management, data analysis, and demand planning, and will be responsible for optimizing inventory processes within our warehouse management system.
Job description
- Manage inventory and work orders in our inventory management system
- Count, sort, or weigh incoming goods to verify receipt of items against packing list and/or purchase orders
- Maintains warehouse in clean and orderly fashion
- Pick packaging and chemicals for upcoming orders
- Reconcile used inventory
- Prepare, verify and inspect incoming and outgoing shipments with proper paperwork, labels, etc.
- Keep shipping areas inside and outside clean and organized
- Drive a box truck to transport chemicals and packaging to local warehouses
- Load/unload skids to trucks
- Using a forklift to move inventory on and off the racks
Qualifications
- Must have Excel, Outlook, Word and, preferably, Access experience
- Experience using a computerized inventory control system
- Basic math skills are essential
- Must be self-driven, motivated and committed
- Must be a team player
- Must be punctual
- Must be responsible and respectful
- Ability to work well in a fast paced environment
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be reliable and on time. Attendance at work is an essential function of this position.
- Forklift experience is preferred, but will train the right candidate
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
