Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Inventory supervisor to oversee our inventory management processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management and possess excellent analytical skills. This role is crucial in ensuring that our inventory levels are optimized, costs are managed effectively, and that we meet customer demand efficiently. The Inventory Supervisor will collaborate with various departments to streamline operations and enhance overall productivity.
Duties
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels and reduce excess inventory.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Utilize data mining techniques to analyze inventory trends and forecast future needs.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to negotiate contracts with suppliers for favorable terms.
- Manage category management strategies to enhance product offerings and improve sales performance.
- Perform financial analysis and modeling related to inventory costs, turnover rates, and profitability.
- Coordinate with retail management teams to align inventory strategies with sales goals.
- Train and supervise staff on best practices in inventory management and control.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in supply chain management or inventory control within a retail or manufacturing environment.
- Strong skills in data analysis, financial modeling, and forecasting.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers.
- Familiarity with category management principles and practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments while maintaining a focus on organizational goals.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
