Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, patient and compassionate iRobot Dog Care contractors (IDC) to provide exceptional social recreational engagement activities for children utilizing a robotic dog in the community. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest and the ability to ensure the well-being of children while providing the program services. This role requires reliability, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills to build trust.
Duties
- Provide supervision of children during a social recreational activity including demos, and instruction using a robotic dog i.e. walking a dog as needed.
- Maintain a safe environment for the children.
- Monitor the behavior of the children reporting any concerns promptly.
- Offer activities and playtime to keep children engaged while learning.
- Follow specific instructions provided regarding activities, routines and exercises.
- Maintain accurate records of activities and any incidents that occur during sessions.
- Communicate effectively with administration regarding session outcomes and children‘s progress.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills to foster positive relationships with children.
- Experience with developmentally disabled, school, and/or a child care setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of social recreational activities.
- Familiarity with working with children is desired.
- Background in childcare or working with children or special education is advantageous.
- Skills in social and recreational training can enhance the quality of services provided.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in various situations involving children.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 36 per week
