We seek an IT Services Technician responsible for installing and maintaining computer systems and cloud architecture for our clients, with a focus on achieving optimal functionality. This position entails day-to-day helpdesk operations, supporting local users, critical incident management, problem management, and knowledge management as assigned by clients.
For the role of IT Services Technician, a comprehensive understanding of computer software, hardware, business applications, and operating systems is essential. We are looking for a candidate with strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills who demonstrates a keen eye for detail and takes initiative.
Shift - 10-20 Hours per Week
- Monday through Friday
- Weekends as needed
- Onsite hours based on Support Tickets
Responsibilities
- Identify and resolve issues with hardware and business applications.
- Prepare workstations with Windows 10 & 11 OS and essential peripheral devices such as printers, keyboards, mice, headsets, docking stations, etc.
- Check computing hardware for proper functionality, such as HDDs, routers, switches, etc.
- Install and configure the essential business applications based on the provided specifications.
- Establish and monitor the local internet services to ensure continuity of services.
- Support the security and privacy of the technical environment, adhering to IT policies, procedures, and service level agreements.
- Offer users orientation and guidance on how to use new software and computer equipment
- Efficiently coordinate and plan upgrades and maintenance while ensuring minimal disruption to others' tasks.
- Diagnose and resolve issues by troubleshooting, which may involve repairing or replacing parts and debugging.
Skill Qualifications
- Associate degree in Systems Administration or other related fields preffered
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication ability
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate with users on different levels in the organization and tech personnel
- In-depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
- Certification as an IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional).
