Western State Bank is seeking qualified applicants for the position of IT Specialist. A successful applicant will have a strong interest and knowledge of computer systems. The position is responsible for managing the technical operations of the organization to include assisting employees with troubleshooting solutions, finding creative technical solutions to meet growing business demands, and ensuring efficient operation and deployment of computer programming and operations.
This position is based in Garden City, Kansas.

Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment that follows design or installation specifications.
- Set up equipment for employee use.
- Ensure proper installation of cable, operating systems, log management and appropriate software.
- Maintain record of daily data communication transactions, problems, and remedial action taken.
- Troubleshoot employee IT issues and assist in finding or recommending solutions.

Requirements:
- Associates Degree in Computer Science
- Two years of IT experience
- Preferred knowledge with VMware, Active Directory, Citrix, Windows workstations and Server
This is a full time, Monday through Friday position. Working hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an occasional after hours or weekend activity. Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.
