Supporting the technological needs of these two premier resorts, the IT Technician ensures seamless operations and exceptional guest and staff experiences.


Job Summary:


The IT Technician is responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for the IT systems and infrastructure at Black Desert Resort and Red Mountain Resort. Reporting to the Complex IT Manager, this role involves managing hardware, software, and network issues to ensure uninterrupted operations. The IT Technician plays a critical role in supporting both resorts' technology-driven services, from guest-facing solutions to back-end systems essential for resort management.

Shift & Schedule Availability: Year-Round / Full-Time
Pay Rate: $22 - $24/hr. This is the pay rate we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues at both resorts.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, printers, phones, and other IT equipment.
  • Support property management systems (PMS), point-of-sale (POS) systems, and other hospitality software applications.
  • Monitor network performance and ensure the reliability and security of IT infrastructure.
  • Respond promptly to help desk requests, resolving issues to minimize downtime for staff and guests.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement new technologies and upgrade existing systems.
  • Assist with server maintenance, backups, and data recovery efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security protocols to protect sensitive data and prevent breaches.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT equipment, inventory, and software licenses.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to resort staff on IT systems and best practices.
  • Support audiovisual (AV) needs for events, conferences, and meetings across both properties.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or related roles, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, Windows operating systems, hardware troubleshooting, and software support.
  • Experience with hospitality-specific systems such as PMS (e.g., Opera) and POS (e.g., MICROS) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with network security protocols, VPNs, firewalls, and wireless systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by resort operations.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record to travel between resort properties.
