Description:
Seeking up to 2 students to work in the IT department’s equipment warehouse. IT and Business majors are encouraged to apply.
General Responsibilities:
- Update inventory in asset management system
- Complete and update tickets in work order system
- Ship and receive packages/shipments/mail
- Stock shelves /conduct audits
- Schedule Moving/Surplus/Recycling
- Deliver items/mail within building and across campus
- Pick up and deliver items/mail within building and across campus on foot and in University Vehicle
- Assemble office equipment
- Assist vendors visiting campus
- General warehouse cleaning
- Occasional lifting – up to 50 lbs
- Data Entry
- Perform site checks for classroom/printers/networking equipment
- assist techs as needed
Minimum Qualifications
Must be enrolled in classes at Ohio University (Undergraduate Minimum – six credit hours, Graduate Minimum – five credit hours), Hocking College (Minimum – six credit hours) or a local area secondary school during the normal academic year.
- Strong customer service skills
- Exceptional computer skills
- Effective communicator
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively
- Valid driver’s license
- Able to work in demanding environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with computer and networking equipment
- Prior asset management experience
