Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Commercial Roofing Project Manager to oversee and manage roofing projects from start to finish. This role requires a deep understanding of commercial roofing systems. The candidate should present exceptional multi-tasking abilities, strong understanding of project scheduling and procurement processes, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage subcontractors, materials and client expectations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring each project is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all phases of commercial roofing projects (Modified Bitumen, Single-ply, Metal, etc.).
- Manage multiple roofing projects simultaneously across various job sites.
- Prepare and monitor project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
- Conduct site visits to ensure safety compliance, quality workmanship, and adherence to project timelines in coordination with the project superintendent.
- Collaborate with sales, estimators, field crews, warehouse, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure project goals are met.
- Communicate with clients regarding project updates, changes, and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Resolve project-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Coordinate the ordering and delivery of roofing materials and equipment.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, etc.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of project management experience required, with 1 year minimum of commercial roofing.
- Proven track record of managing roofing projects valued at $100K+.
- Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations (OSHA), and quality assurance practices.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., CRM, Excel, or similar).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication abilities.
- Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred (not required with relevant experience).
- Certifications:
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- PMP or other project management certification a plus.
Work Environment:
- Combination of office and field work, including frequent visits to active construction sites.
- Must be able to work in varied weather conditions and at heights as needed.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.
