Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, including floor care, commercial cleaning, and facilities maintenance. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Maintain floors through buffing and polishing to ensure they are clean and presentable.
- Clean restrooms and replenish supplies as needed.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
- Conduct periodic deep cleaning of designated areas as required.
- Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of the building.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while performing cleaning duties.
Requirements
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of commercial and industrial cleaning techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with floor care procedures including buffing and polishing.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality work.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
