Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our shop, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role involves performing custodial duties, facilities maintenance, and general upkeep of commercial space.
Responsibilities
- Clean shop areas.
- Perform floor care tasks such as sweeping and mopping, to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and report issues promptly.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; restock as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to complete larger cleaning projects or special events.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines while performing all cleaning and maintenance duties.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A willingness to learn new skills related to floor care, porter duties, and residential painting as needed.
