Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various settings, including residential, commercial, and industrial environments. This role is essential in ensuring a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all occupants and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to maintain cleanliness.
- Conduct buffing and floor care to ensure surfaces are polished and presentable.
- Carry out custodial duties including trash removal, restroom sanitation, and replenishing supplies.
- Assist with residential painting projects as needed to enhance the aesthetic appeal of facilities.
- Maintain industrial cleaning standards in compliance with safety regulations.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly.
- Perform porter duties by ensuring common areas are tidy and well-kept.
- Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of cleanliness across all areas.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete assigned tasks within designated timeframes.
- A proactive attitude towards maintaining a clean and safe environment for all.
