Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks effectively.
Responsibilities
- Perform industrial cleaning duties in commercial and residential settings, ensuring all areas are clean and well-maintained.
- Conduct floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing as needed.
- Carry out custodial tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to maintain hygiene standards.
- Assist with facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly.
- Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly.
- Maintain an organized cleaning schedule to ensure all areas are serviced regularly.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure that cleaning tasks are completed efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in industrial cleaning, commercial cleaning, or custodial services is preferred.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing and waxing is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A proactive attitude towards maintaining a clean and safe environment.
