Janitorial Technician (Part-Time) – Modena, NY – USDA Facility

Pay: $17.50–$18.50 per hour (Based on experience)
Job Type: Part-Time (1 day/week, Fridays)
Schedule: 1 day/week for 6 hours (daytime); occasional quarterly & semi-annual tasks
Job Summary:

Xplicit Technologies, LLC is seeking a dependable and detail-loving Janitorial Technician to perform cleaning duties at the USDA APHIS-PPQ facility in Modena, NY. This part-time role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, appreciates routine, and maybe even hums a heroic tune while dusting the blinds.
Responsibilities:
As the chosen guardian of tidiness, your weekly spellbook will include:
- Emptying trash receptacles and transporting refuse to outside dumpster
- Vacuuming all carpeted areas with a commercial-grade vacuum (bonus points for slaying hidden crumbs)
- Mopping and sweeping resilient floors in hallways, lab, kitchen, and bathrooms
- Dusting and wiping all horizontal surfaces (tables, cabinets, windowsills) and vertical surfaces (door frames, walls)
- Disinfecting desks, doorknobs, light switches, and other high-touch points
- Thorough cleaning of the kitchenette area: sink, microwave exterior, and countertop
- Full restroom sanitation: sinks, toilets, urinals, partitions, and mirrors
- Refilling soap, paper towels, and toilet paper (provided by USDA)
Quarterly:
- Deep cleaning of the kitchenette sink basin and faucet
Semi-Annual Rituals (Spring & Fall):
- Shampooing all carpets with biodegradable solution
- Stripping and waxing the lab and restroom floors
Required Materials (You'll Use, We Provide):
- Eco-friendly, bio-based cleaning products
- HEPA vacuums, floor mops, dusters, and carpet care equipment
- Sanitation supplies and protective gloves

- Prior janitorial experience (preferred but not required)
