Participating in promoting improvement initiatives (clinical, financial, operational) that supports, protects and promotes area of specialty.
Implementing initiatives in area of specialty as directed by nursing and medical leadership.
Fostering a clinical environment of service excellence.
Qualifications:
Required: RN License; BLS; PALs; EPIC; MUST have 2 years of experience of PEDs experience (MED SURG/ IMC/PICU); APHON chemo/biotherapy provider course/certificate required
IV skills preferred; some care management
Weekend: Every 3rd weekend (may work 11 South inpatient on weekends)
26-week long-term assignment (10/5 to 4/4/26)
Rate: $60/hr

Responsibilities:
Facilitating and coordinating care by providing evidence-based care based on the nursing process, policies, procedures, and protocols of the Johns Hopkins Health System.
Providing direction to/management of other team members to promote quality, safety, and excellence in care.

Qualifications:
Pediatric-trained nurse - Acute care pediatric oncology unit, ambulatory setting.
Required: RN License; BLS; PALs; EPIC; MUST have 2 years of experience of PEDs experience (MED SURG/ IMC/PICU); APHON chemo/biotherapy provider course/certificate required
Preferred: Travel experience; EPIC
Patient age range: Oncology pediatric patients, newborns up to 25 years
IV skills preferred; some care management
9 infusion spaces, 8 exam rooms, one treatment room
Diagnosis includes solid tumors, leukemia/hematologic malignancies, blood/bone marrow transplant, infusion therapy -biotherapy/chemotherapy; oncology acute care; cancer clinical trials
Weekend: Every 3rd weekend (may work 11 South inpatient on weekends)
Holidays: As needed by the unit
Call: No call for travelers
