Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Provide knowledgeable answers to customer inquiries regarding products, promotions, and store policies.
- Operate the cash register efficiently, handling cash transactions accurately and securely.
- Maintain an organized and clean sales floor, ensuring that all merchandise is properly stocked and displayed.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments, restocking shelves, and conducting regular inventory counts.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance the overall customer experience.
- Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service or retail sales is preferred.
- Strong sales skills with a proven ability to engage customers effectively.
- Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus.
- Proficient in using POS systems and cash registers; basic math skills are essential for accurate cash handling.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
