Tennant Solutions (TS) specializes in innovative packaging solutions for the clinical trial, laboratory research, and pharmaceutical fields while also providing alternative packaging solutions for various other industries. Due to current growth, we are looking for a Full-Time Kitting Supervisor to join our team.
The Kitting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient assembly of kits, ensuring timely completion and quality control within established deadlines for Eurofins and Medpace. This role involves managing a team of 40+ employees, collaborating with management and customers, and continuously improving operational processes to meet company goals. The Supervisor will drive staff performance, optimize resources, and maintain effective communication to support the company's growth and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment. This position also plays a key role in process improvement, compliance, and resource management to enhance the overall production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage 40+ employees to complete the assembly of kits according to predetermined lists within time constraints
- Communicate with customers and company management to meet production needs and address customer questions and/or concerns
- Coordinate with Operations Manager to ensure proper staffing is maintained to meet customer needs
- Work with team leads to address any staff issues and to ensure production timelines are met
- Manage the optimization of resources, staff, and processes to support the company’s continuous improvement goals
- Responsible for management of all data related but not limited to performance analysis and problem identification/resolution
- Work with quality assurance and management to recommend and implement process improvement changes
- Develop SOPs/related training documents to ensure efficiency and standardization in work and training
- Ensure maintenance of all inventory with particular attention to lot and expiration data
- Comply with all company and customer SOPs
- Participate in, contribute to, and potentially lead various committees within the company
- Creatively solve problems requiring attention to detail in a fast-paced fulfillment environment
- Collaboratively work with management team to anticipate business needs and proactively problem solve
- Work with vendors and freight carriers to ensure timely shipment of products
- Participate in recruiting, performance appraisals & disciplinary actions
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- College Degree or equivalent industry experience of at least 5 years
- Fluent in speaking/reading/writing Spanish strongly preferred
- Familiarity with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
- 5 years supervisory experience
- Ability to collaborate, build and motivate teams, and multi-task
- Good analytical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience in kitting, distribution and/or pick/pack required
