Our core clients are small to mid-sized real estate investors—landlords and owners who value responsiveness, practical legal advice, and long-term relationships with a lean, efficient legal team. We also support homeowners, first-time buyers, and property owners with residential and commercial transactions and estate planning needs.
The firm has invested heavily in a digital infrastructure—generating leads through SEO, Google, and social media, backed by a real estate referral network (realtors, title agents, loan officers), powered by Lawmatics to track, engage, book consults directly your calendar, and convert leads into long-term clients, and Asana/Gavel to automate workflows. While our team is still growing, we have a strong foundation in place, including established intake systems, delegation tools, and a steady stream of client inquiries.

You won’t be walking into a traditional law firm hierarchy. Instead, you’ll step into a modern, tech-enabled practice with active inbound lead flow and freedom to take ownership of your litigation work. Our firm is designed to support attorneys who want to focus on high-quality legal work and strategic client relationships—not administrative bottlenecks or excessive overhead. We will handle the marketing, firm administration and finances, and you will speak to prospective clients, service them, and as applicable connect the client to other partners (who will do the same for you).
You’ll benefit from firm-generated digital leads that, once retained, are treated as your clients—giving you a clear path to building a personal book of business from day one. This will be a collaborative position with lead attorneys / partners across other real estate areas like closings, leasing, land use, estate planning, and business formation.
Support includes task delegation through local in-person legal assistants at our Rutherford, NJ office and vetted LegalSoft remote virtual assistants, helping you stay focused on litigation strategy and client service.
Role Summary
We are hiring a Landlord-Tenant & Real Estate Litigation Partner to lead our litigation practice and help shape its future. This is a non-equity partner position designed for an experienced attorney ready to scale a litigation portfolio within a collaborative firm. You’ll handle landlord-tenant disputes (landlords only), real estate ownership conflicts, land-use matters, and related real estate litigation—with flexibility and autonomy. Our firm operates on a remote-hybrid basis. Office space in Northern New Jersey is available as needed, and we anticipate expanding into a larger office as the team grows.
Responsibilities
Manage and litigate real estate disputes involving:
- Landlord-tenant matters (exclusively for landlords)
- Ejectments, partitions, quiet title, and ownership disputes
- Land-use and zoning applications and appeals
- Buy-outs and contested real estate transactions
- Meet with clients to explain legal strategy, secure engagement, and maintain trust
- Handle all phases of litigation: pleadings, motions, court appearances, negotiations
- Use Lawmatics, Gavel, and Asana to track leads, tasks, and case progress
- Delegate filings, service, scheduling, and admin to local or in-person local or LegalSoft virtual assistants
- Coordinate with other attorneys in transactional and advisory practice areas
- Participate in firm strategy sessions and contribute to firm growth
Qualifications
- Location: Must live in North Jersey
- Licensed in New Jersey and in good standing
- Experience litigating landlord-tenant and real estate matters
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to sign up and retain clients directly
- Tech-savvy, with the ability to manage digital workflows and systems
- Entrepreneurial spirit and interest in shaping firm’s litigation practice
- Comfortable working remotely with occasional in-person collaboration

Compensation & Support
- Base Salary: Base salary commensurate with initial portable book of business and client-contact experience. Compensation is primarily performance-based - this an entrepreneurial opportunity where compensation scales with client base. Existing client base not required as we will help grow it- but it is the main factor in your day-one compensation.
- Origination Fees: 15% of all legal fees from clients you originate (including ones you first retain digitally and any other clients you bring to the firm)
- Revenue Share: Percentage of earned legal fees scaling to 35%.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
