The Sleep Inn and Suites in Pleasant Hill Iowa is looking for a Houseman/Laundry person.
Below is a description of the duties and responsibilities :
The duties and responsibilities of a hotel houseman may include the following:
- Cleaning and maintaining the hotel’s guest rooms and public areas, including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and emptying trash.
- Restocking supplies, such as linens, towels, and amenities, in the guest rooms and public areas.
- Assisting with the laundry and linen service, including sorting, washing, and folding linens.
- Responding to requests from guests and hotel staff, such as providing extra towels or blankets, or assisting with the delivery of guest amenities.
- Reporting any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate staff member.
- Assisting with the setup and breakdown of events and meetings, as needed.
- Maintaining inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Following all health and safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
- Performing other duties as assigned by management.
It is important for a hotel houseman to be able to multitask and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously, as well as be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
