We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week night shift travel assignment. This role is ideal for a highly skilled nurse who thrives in fast-paced environments and has strong clinical judgment in high-acuity obstetric care. The ideal candidate is confident in labor triage, delivery, circulating for C-sections, and recovery of spinal anesthesia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform vaginal exams and evaluate labor progression
- Circulate and assist during cesarean sections
- Recover patients following spinal anesthesia
- Provide holistic care during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases
- Recognize and intervene in life-threatening situations promptly and appropriately
- Assess clinical, educational, mental, and spiritual needs of patients
- Maintain safety practices, including proper use of lifts and mobility aids
- Respond professionally and calmly in high-stress, emergency situations
- Document patient status and care activities clearly and thoroughly
- Prioritize patient care and delegate tasks as appropriate
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
Requirements:
- Active New York State RN license (required)
- Current BLS and NRP certifications (required)
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum [Insert preferred experience, e.g., 2+ years] in Labor & Delivery
- Must live outside a 60-mile radius of the facility
- Strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills

Pay: $2,750.00 - $2,850.00 per week
