Madison River Cleaning, based in Bozeman, is seeking a highly organized and flexible Lead Cleaning Supervisor to support our continued growth and help us maintain the high standards we’re known for. This is a full-time leadership position (35–40 hours/week, with occasional overtime as needed), offering $27–$29/hour depending on experience.
About the Role:
As the Lead Supervisor, you’ll serve as the primary point of contact for our Supervisors and act as a liaison between our leadership team and cleaning staff. This role blends hands-on site management with behind-the-scenes administrative and quality control work. It’s ideal for someone who thrives on structure, excels in team leadership, and is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to support wherever needed.
Please Note: Being on-call is a critical part of this position.
You will serve as a backup to the on-call Supervisor and will also have on-call shifts of your own. This includes being available for emergency cleans, urgent communication with supervisors, and stepping in for client walk-throughs or cleaning coverage as needed. You must be proactive, responsive, and ready to support the team at a moment’s notice to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervisor & Team Support
- Train and mentor Supervisors on cleaning responsibilities and leadership tasks
- Serve as a primary contact for day-to-day supervisor needs
- Communicate effectively with the General Manager and Owner, implementing strategies and SOPs
- Take detailed notes during meetings and follow through on assigned action items
- Support and coordinate with on-call Supervisors during the week
Site Oversight & Equipment Management
- Conduct regular quality control checks at job sites
- Manage cleaning equipment by following scheduled maintenance and arranging for repairs
- Step in as needed to cover cleaning shifts or support team members on-site
- Assist with documenting and addressing recurring cleaning issues and client feedback
Process & Product Improvement
- Test and evaluate new cleaning tools, equipment, and supplies
- Research options and gather information to help improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Present ideas to leadership before implementing changes across the team
Client Relations & Administration
- Conduct client walk-throughs and create customized Scope of Work documents
- Draft proposals for new clients (final approval from Owner required)
- Maintain organized client records and ensure accurate data entry
- Respond to client emails and requests in a timely and professional manner
- Keep leadership updated on ongoing tasks, projects, and client communications
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Experience in a supervisory role, preferably within the cleaning or service industry
- Confident communicator with professional client-facing experience
- Ability to stay calm, flexible, and resourceful in fast-paced or high-pressure situations
- Familiarity with creating standard operating procedures and setting team expectations
- Sales or proposal-writing experience is a plus
