POSITION DESCRIPTION
Works as cashier in the FTDC Tribal Enterprise. Assists management in business operations and daily activities for the assigned Fox Peak locations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Performs all Deli Clerk job duties as identified in the Deli Clerk job description.
2. Supervises subordinate staff, directs and delegates duties as needed in the absence of the Manager.
3. Responsible to be on-call in the absence of the Manager.
4. Assists manager with ordering and receiving merchandise as needed.
5. Operates and maintains kitchen equipment according to safety procedures.
6. Assists in maintaining of the appearance of the kitchen.
7. Counts in/out cash register drawer and puts all monies in the vend safe.
8. Opens and closes at designated hours.
9. Retrieves start banks from office safe for kitchen at the beginning of shifts, supply cashiers with drop sheets and daily drop envelopes.
10. Counts the cashier’s ending drawer, ensuring the correct amount of monies are in the register and places them in the vend safe at the end of the cashiers’ shift as needed in the absence of the manager.
11. Assists with ordering, scheduling, invoicing as required.
12. Maintain strict confidentiality of privileged information encountered in the course of work.
13. Must maintain food and safety standards are upheld in the kitchen at all times, by all team members.
14. Providing an excellent guest experience.
15. Being a Team player.
16. Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
17. Must possess and keep up to date on Indian Health Services (IHS) Online Training Certification. Paid for by FTDC.
18. Other job related duties or responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
1. Must be a High School Graduate or equivalent.
2. Must be 21 years of age or older.
3. Must have a minimum of (6) months of retail or cash handling experience.
4. Must have a valid Driver’s License.

1. Must have basic knowledge of math and handle simple cash transactions.
2. Must be able to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
3. Must have a friendly attitude, pleasant and able to communicate well with the general public and vendors.
4. Must be willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, nights and overtime.
5. Must work a shift if called in by the manager, due to another employee calling out.
6. Must maintain confidentiality in all business matters.
7. Must abide by FTDC Personnel and Procedures.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly using hands to grasp objects and materials. Frequently required to stand and walk and reach out with hands and arms, frequent neck and waist twisting. Frequently bending and squatting to inspect lower items and occasionally kneels. The employee will occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and frequently 20 pounds. Work is in a normal kitchen environment.
