Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Irrigation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape maintenance and irrigation systems, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution for gardens, lawns, and landscapes.
Duties
- Install and maintain irrigation systems, ensuring proper functionality and efficiency.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools for digging trenches and setting up irrigation lines.
- Conduct regular inspections of irrigation systems to identify issues such as leaks or malfunctions.
- Perform necessary repairs or adjustments to maintain system performance.
- Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to integrate irrigation solutions into overall garden and lawn care plans.
- Provide recommendations for improvements in irrigation practices based on mechanical knowledge and landscape needs.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs made and materials used.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance or lawn care preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to irrigation systems and equipment.
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to dig trenches and perform physical labor as required by the job.
- Knowledge of best practices for irrigating gardens and landscapes.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
