POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides direct support for the Testing Center Coordinator, performing complex, responsible and confidential duties. In addition, this position serves as the lead contact and resource person for the Testing Center staff under the direction of the Coordinator. A broadbased knowledge of college and departmental policies, procedures and operations is required in order to critically assess situations that arise and act within the guidelines as outlined by the Coordinator.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:
Support Testing Center Manager and Testing Center Coordinator:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:
Support Testing Center Manager and Testing Center Coordinator:
- Provide administrative support for Testing Center Manager and Coordinator with respect to Testing Center operations
- Schedule, setup, administer, and support testing on main campus, at Delta’s Learning Centers, and at additional off-campus sites as needed (valid driver’s license required)
Coordinate academic, business/industry and certification/licensure testing (requires knowledge of current departmental policies and procedures, meeting recertification requirements; and reviewing, monitoring, and updating policies as changes occur):
- Coordinate Testing Center calendars
- Maintain, update, and format departmental forms and contact lists
- Maintain departmental filing system
- Maintain statistical data logs
- Process billing requirements for specialized Business & Industry exams, as needed; deposit and record fee transactions; process payments for faculty
- Post scores/grades to student records as assigned to Testing Center
- Process general paperwork required to maintain Testing Center daily operations
Mentor/Support Test Proctor Staff (in the absence of the Testing Center Coordinator):
- Serve as mentor and resource person for Testing Center staff to answer questions, solve problems, direct to resources, and provide guidance with computer-related technology issues
- Monitor all equipment and run routine system-checks on external vendor-owned testing software, as outlined in policies and procedures
Provide assistance to Testing Center stakeholders and respond to all inquiries:
- Maintain current test proctor certifications
- Provide Testing Center staff support tools, instructions, and review material for retaining certifications; proctor certification (and re-certification) testing
NOTE: Testing Center staff may NOT be currently enrolled in undergraduate classes or pursuing an undergraduate program at any post-secondary institution
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Technology Skills
- Associate degree or equivalent knowledge and skills. Major(s) required: Office Professions/Office Assistant, Office Specialist, Adm. Assistant
- 1 to 3 years of position-related experience
Additional Experiences Considered
- One or more years of experience in the field of education or test administration.
