Total Veterinary Care in Kennesaw, GA is seeking a full-time, licensed veterinary technician (LVT) to serve as our Lead Veterinary Technician in a dynamic, fast-paced day practice.

The ideal candidate will take an active role in guiding and supporting our team of experienced non-licensed technicians, while also assisting with staff training, inventory management, and ensuring adherence to clinical best practices.

- Hourly rate: $20 - $25/hr.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Licensure Requirements: MUST hold a valid Veterinary Technician license in the state of GA, OR be eligible to obtain a GA license. (Proof of Vet Tech license in GA or another state is required.)
- Leadership and Team Development: Able to lead and coach team members in technical skills, proper use of lab equipment, safety protocols, compliance issues, client and patient care, and adherence to company core values. All leaders are expected to demonstrate servant leadership qualities and serve as a mentor, trainer, and team player. Committed to sharing knowledge and training gained from continuing education with the team, promoting best practices and compliance with local laws.
- Communication Skills: Demonstrates strong communication skills, essential for effective team collaboration and client interaction. Actively promotes best practices and compliance with local laws. Willingly shares knowledge and training gained from continuing education to support team growth and development.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in collecting laboratory specimens, IV catheter placement, anesthesia and surgical assistance, microchipping, dental procedures, radiology, lab diagnostics, and nail trims. Skilled in maintaining accurate medical records, preparing medications, and effectively communicating their use to clients. Familiar with basic inventory protocols and committed to following best practices in all aspects of patient care.
- Regulatory Compliance: Must be willing and able to comply with all hospital, federal, and local regulations related to drug administration, controlled substances, and patient care.
- Work Availability: Full-time schedule during regular office hours, Monday through Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with participation in a rotating Saturday schedule as part of a collaborative team environment.
