IPS is seeking a Warehouse/Shipping & Receiving Lead to ensure the proper materials and procurement for projects. Oversees the processes for the storage, inventory, equipment and materials needed, while following policies, procedures and safety regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administers and operates the organization’s warehouses, including the processing, packaging, receiving, storage, and distribution of supplies, and materials.
  • Supervises warehouse personnel in day-to-day activities including material handling, inventory transactions, order fulfillment, packaging, and logistics operations.
  • Oversees all aspects of shipping and receiving; verifies inbound and outbound shipments, inspects goods for accuracy, and ensures proper documentation is completed.
  • Interfaces with carriers, freight companies, and internal stakeholders to schedule pickups/deliveries and resolve transportation issues.
  • Prepares and coordinates shipping and receiving schedules to control the flow of goods and manage warehouse space effectively.
  • Ensures timely and accurate reporting of inventory and material movement in the ERP system, including weight, dimensions, quantities, and other relevant data.
  • Conducts audits of materials received and stored; ensures compliance with quality criteria and regulatory requirements.
  • Participates in and supports continuous improvement and lean initiatives to increase operational efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Maintains the effectiveness of operating procedures and warehouse layout for optimal space utilization and safety.
  • Ensures packaging standards meet customer and carrier requirements to prevent damage during transit.
  • Enforces all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for the warehouse team.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and additional hours as necessary.

Job Specifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Five (5+) years of relevant work experience in warehouse, logistics, or materials management.
  • Experience w/ ERP systems, Epicor preferred
  • Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred
