A Leasing Agent, also known as a Residential Leasing Agent, is responsible for renting out housing properties and assisting tenants with their needs. Here are some key duties and responsibilities:
- Meeting Prospective Tenants: Conducting tours of available units and highlighting the benefits of the property.
- Preparing Leasing Documents: Drafting and executing lease agreements according to property standards and regulations.
- Collecting Payments: Handling the collection of rent payments, security deposits, and application fees.
- Customer Service: Building rapport with current tenants, addressing their concerns, and providing personalized service.
- Marketing: Creating promotional materials to advertise vacant units and following up on leads for potential renters.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills and experience in property management and leasing
- Proficient in property management software such as OneSite
- Excellent negotiation and conflict management abilities
- Administrative experience with data entry and filing systems
- Effective communication skills and phone etiquette
