Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Administrator to support our law firm.
The Legal Administrator’s tasks will include maintaining and organizing files, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and providing administrative support to lawyers.
The ideal candidate should be able to ensure smooth running of the office and effective case management by providing legal services under the supervision of an attorney. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our legal operations, ensuring that all administrative tasks are executed efficiently and effectively. This position requires a strong understanding of legal processes and the ability to manage various administrative functions within the firm.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies
- Supervise administrative staff and divide responsibilities to ensure performance
- Managing the office’s administrative functions, such as scheduling meetings, appointments, and court dates
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, maintaining the integrity of client information.
- Maintaining and updating client files and case documents
- Provide clerical support, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling communications
- Coordinating billing and accounting activities, such as invoice processing and payment collection
- Collaborate with team members to streamline administrative processes and improve overall efficiency
- Ensuring compliance with legal procedures and guidelines
Qualifications
- Proven experience as legal administrator or in a similar role
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills to maintain a professional relationship with clients and team members
- Knowledge of legal terminology, court system and legal procedures to support attorneys effectively
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism
- Good time management skills to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines and manage attorney schedules effectively
- Proficient with legal software programs, such as Clio, for case management, billing, and document preparation
- Detail-oriented to ensure accuracy in legal filings, document preparation, and case management
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
