Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Level 3 Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our client, employees, and customers. This position requires a proactive approach to loss prevention, conflict management, situational awareness, and surveillance to ensure the safety of all individuals on the premises. This job is a part-time placement with the opportunity to become full time.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent theft, vandalism, and other unlawful activities.
- Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate situations.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds, ensuring all security measures are in place.
- Provide assistance during emergencies.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Enforce company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Requirements
- Current Level 3 Guard Card in hand. Level 4 preferred.
- Current firearm proficiency shooting test.
- Current MMPI.
- Previous experience in security or law enforcement is preferred.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and conflict management strategies.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions quickly.
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
- Must possess a valid security certificate or be willing to obtain one.
- Physical fitness is essential; candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and respond quickly in emergencies.
- A militarized background is an advantage but not mandatory.
