Overview
We are seeking a Level I Advanced Certificate Holder (BCBA or other recognized advanced certificate holder) to join our EIDBI agency and play a key role in providing high-quality treatment services for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related conditions. The ideal candidate will have advanced certification in an approved treatment modality and meet the educational and experience requirements outlined by the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS). All BCBA candidates must be licensed to practice in the state of Minnesota.
QualificationsExperience or Education Requirement
Candidates must meet one of the following:✔ 2,000 hours of clinical experience and/or training in the assessment or treatment of individuals with ASD or related conditions. Qualifying experience may include roles such as:
- Mental health behavioral aide
- Mental health practitioner
- Personal care assistant (PCA)
- EIDBI Level II or III provider
- Other relevant clinical or educational positions
✔ Completion of graduate-level coursework equivalent to 2,000 hours in:
- ASD or related condition diagnostics
- ASD or related condition treatment strategies
- Child development
Educational or Certification Requirement
Candidates must meet one of the following:
✔ Doctoral or Master’s Degree in:
- Behavioral Health
- Child Development
- Psychology
- Social work
- Speech Pathology
- Nursing
- Or a related field
✔ Advanced Certification in a DHS-recognized treatment modality, such as:
- Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA): BCaBA, BCBA, or BCBA-D
- DIR/Floortime: Level 3 or Level 4 Certification
- Early Start Denver Model (ESDM): Certified Trainer or Parent Coach Trainer
- PLAY Project: Dual certification in PLAY Project and Teaching PLAY
- Relationship Development Intervention (RDI): RDI Certified Consultant
Roles and Responsibilities
The Level I provider will:✔ Develop, implement, and modify Individual Treatment Plans (ITPs) to meet the unique needs of each individual.✔ Monitor treatment progress, collect data, and document services in case notes or health service records.✔ Provide clinical supervision, direction, and observation to Level II and III providers.✔ Train and support families and caregivers based on the goals outlined in the ITP.✔ Participate in coordinated care conferences and maintain compliance with professional licensing requirements.
Documentation & Compliance
✔ Maintain detailed records of:
- Individual treatment progress
- Clinical supervision activities
- Modifications made to the ITP✔ Ensure all documentation meets DHS and agency standards.
Enrollment & Certification Requirements
✅ Must be enrolled with Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP).✅Must hold advanced certification in an approved EIDBI treatment modality.✅Must be board-certified in the state of Minnesota.
